What we do in QuickBooks

• Book every expense as an expense on the bank account or credit card the money left from, with the account and tax code from your own QuickBooks on every line
• Create a vendor if the supplier isn’t in QuickBooks yet
• Attach the receipt or invoice to the expense
• Record incoming payments against your open invoices
• Use classes as cost centres, if you have them

An expense records the purchase and the payment in one go. When the same transaction comes into QuickBooks through your bank feed, QuickBooks offers our expense as a Match.

Where the bank transactions come from

QuickBooks doesn’t pass on bank transactions through its connection. So we get them in one of these two ways:

• You connect your bank account directly when you sign up. This works with Dutch and many European banks, such as ING, ABN AMRO, Rabobank, bunq, Knab and Triodos. Your bank asks for your permission. It is valid for a set period, and you can see until when.
• You upload a bank statement (CAMT.053) in your portal.

How to give us access

1. You sign up at openzero.nl/signup and choose QuickBooks as your package.
2. You click Connect, log in to Intuit and choose the company.
3. You connect your bank account or choose to upload statements.

You don’t share a password with us. You can withdraw the access in QuickBooks whenever you like.

On Professional and Complete we prepare your quarterly VAT return. You or your accountant file it.
